Provides visual arts activities, in a mobile open studio environment, to foster expression, creativity, joy, and acquisition of the local language for refugees in Germany and The United States.

Marquis Studios; New York, NY (marquisstudios.org)
Marquis Studios is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing arts-­in­‐education services to over 90 New York City public schools annually. The organization strives to develop a strong partnership between artists and teachers by providing arts programs to supplement traditional classroom teaching techniques. Each residency or workshop focuses on a specific visual or performing arts discipline selected by school staff and administration.

Everyday Arts for Special Education (EASE); New York, NY (urbanarts.org/program/ease)
A five-year professional development project & research grant funded by an Investing in Innovation (i3) award from the US Department of Education. Aims to train teachers of special education students in the use of arts activities designed to improve students’ communication, socialization, behavioral, academic, & arts skills.
